Support for Men

Men are used to pushing through things.

Many men come to therapy feeling stressed, emotionally shut down, overwhelmed, disconnected in relationships, burnt out from work pressures, or unsure why things feel harder than they used to.

Often they’ve been carrying things alone for a long time before reaching out.

Therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of what’s going on, and figure out what actually helps.

I support clients with:

• Anxiety

• Depression

• Sleep Difficulties

• Work Stress and Burn Out

• Difficult life challenges and periods

• LGBTQI+ mental health

• ADHD, Autism

• Perfectionism

• Emotional challenges

A Practical and Respectful Approach

I specialise in working with men because this is a group that often finds it harder to access support early. As a male psychologist, I understand the pressures men are under in the modern world.

Many have grown up with the idea that they should push through problems, stay quiet, or deal with things on their own. Over time, that can make it harder to recognise or talk about what’s actually going on.

Therapy can be a space where that pressure drops — and where things can be talked about in a relaxed, easy going, and supportive way.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What issues do you help with?

I work with men dealing with anxiety, stress, low mood, anger, and life transitions. Many clients come in feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure what’s going on. Therapy focuses on understanding these patterns and finding practical ways to manage them in everyday life.

Do I need to be in crisis to see a psychologist?

Not at all. Many people reach out before things get overwhelming. You might just notice something isn’t working — like constant overthinking, stress, or feeling off. Getting support early can make things clearer and easier to manage.

What is your approach to therapy?

My approach is calm, conversational, and practical. I use evidence-based methods like CBT and ACT, but adapt them to suit you. The focus is on giving you tools you can actually use outside of sessions — not just talking.

What can I expect in the first session?

The first session is a chance to talk through what’s been going on and what you’d like help with. There’s no pressure to share everything straight away — we go at your pace. From there, we can work out a practical way forward together.

Do you offer online sessions or only in-person?

Both options are available. You can attend sessions in-person in Clifton Hill, Melbourne, or online from anywhere in Australia. Many regional based clients choose online sessions for accessibility.

How do I know if you’re the right psychologist for me?

Finding the right fit matters. If you’re unsure, you’re welcome to reach out for a brief phone call to get a sense of how I work and whether it feels like a good match for you.

How do I get started?

The easiest way is to make an enquiry or get in touch via telephone or email. From there, we can organise a short call if helpful, and then book your first session when you’re ready.
